Dear Parents,

As part of our preventive health measures, we would like to inform you of the actions taken by the Fondation Myosotis childcare centers to prevent tick bites:

• For outings in forests or grassy areas, we use a repellent spray that is sprayed on before leaving the childcare.

• On planned outings, in addition to using repellent, we recommend that children wear clothing that covers their limbs (pants, long-sleeved sweaters, socks).

In any case, we invite you to take a good look after an outing to detect any possible stings.

The new vaccination recommendations against tick-borne meningoencephalitis were updated at the beginning of May 2024.

As endemic zones and the risk period have expanded, the general recommended vaccination age has been lowered to 3 years (cf. the federal press release).
